Edwards Institute for Dental Assisting offers a "VANGUARD" 11-week training program that provides the on-the-job training needed to work in a dental office. The course is short so that each student can go from the classroom to the workplace in less than 3 months. Students learn in an actual dental office and become familiar with the work environment before their first day on the job.
